【摘要】:Theuseofgeomembranesasbarriermaterialstorestrictliquidmigrationfromonelocationtoanotherinsoilandrock,andthelargenumberofseammethodsandtypesusedinjoiningthesegeomembranesheets,hascreatedaneedforstandardtestsbywhichthevariousseamscanbecomparedandthequalityoftheseamsystemscanbenon-destructivelyevaluated.Thispracticeisintendedtomeetsuchaneed.Thegeomembranesheetmaterialshallbeformulatedfromtheappropriatepolymersandcompoundingingredientstoformaplasticorelastomersheetmaterialthatmeetsallspecifiedrequirementsfortheenduseoftheproduct.Thesheetmaterial(reinforcedornonreinforced)shallbecapableofbeingbondedtoitselfbyoneofthemethodsdescribedin1.2inaccordancewiththesheetmanufacturer''srecommendationsandinstructions.1.1Thispracticeisintendedforuseasasummaryofnondestructivequalitycontroltestmethodsfordeterminingtheintegrityofseamsusedinthejoiningofflexiblesheetmaterialsinageotechnicalapplication.Thispracticeoutlinesthetestproceduresavailablefordeterminingthequalityofbondedseams.Anyoneorcombinationofthetestmethodsoutlinedinthispracticecanbeincorporatedintoaprojectspecificationforqualitycontrol.Thesetestmethodsareapplicabletomanufacturedflexiblepolymericmembraneliningsthatarescrimreinforcedornonreinforced.Thispracticeisnotapplicabletodestructivetesting.FordestructivetestmethodslookatotherASTMStandardsandPractices.1.2Thetypesofseamscoveredbythispracticeincludethefollowing:ThermallyBondedSeams,HotAir,HotWedge(orKnife),Extrusion,SolventBondedSeams,BodiedSolventBondedSeams,AdhesiveBondedorCementedSeams,TapedSeams,WaterproofedSewnSeams.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
