【摘要】:Subjecttothelimitationslistedabove,theprocedurecanbeusedasaresearchtooltooptimizesprayequipmentandpaintformulationsaswellastostudytherelativeeffectontransferefficiencyofchangingoperatingvariables,sprayapplicationequipment,andtypesofcoatings.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationandcomparisonofthetransferefficiencyofspray-appliedcoatingsundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions.1.2Thistestmethodhasbeenshowntoyieldexcellentintralaboratoryreproducibility.Interlaboratoryprecisionispoorerandishighlydependentoncloselycontrolledairflowinthespraybooth,therateatwhichthepaintisdeliveredtothepart,andothervariablessuggestedinthetestmethod.1.3Limitations1.3.1Thislaboratoryprocedureonlyindicatesthedirectionoftheeffectofsprayvariablesontransferefficiency.Themagnitudeoftheeffectisdeterminedonlybyspecificplantexperience.Note18212;Thislaboratoryprocedurerequiresspecificequipmentandprocedures.ForthoselaboratoriesthatdonothaveaccesstothetypeofequipmentrequiredamoregenerallaboratoryprocedureisbeingpreparedasProcedureB.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7and8.11.9and8.13.2.
