【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesaguideforevaluatingtheresistanceofrefractoriesinglassmeltingfurnacesuperstructurestovaporattack.Thistestmethodmayalsobeusefulforevaluatingrefractoriesinotherapplicationswherevaporattackoccurs.Anelectric-heatedfurnaceisrecommended.Watervaporandotheratmosphericcomponentsinagas-orfuel-firedfurnacemayparticipateinthechemicalandphysicalreactionsbeingstudied.Resultsmaydiffer,therefore,dependinguponthenatureandtypeoffiringemployed.Thedegreeofcorrelationbetweenthistestmethodandserviceperformanceisnotfullydeterminable.Thisisintendedtobeanacceleratedtestmethodthatgeneratesasubstantialdegreeofreactioninarelativelyshortamountoftime.Thisaccelerationmaybeaccomplishedbychangingthecompositionand/orconcentrationofthereactants,increasingtemperatures,orbyperformingthetestinanisothermalenvironment.Sincethetestmethodmaynotaccuratelysimulatetheserviceenvironment,observedresultsofthistestmethodmaynotberepresentativeofthosefoundinservice.Itisimperativethattheuserunderstandandconsiderhowtheresultsofthistestmethodmaydifferfromthoseencounteredinservice.Thisisparticularlylikelyifthereactionproducts,theirnature,ortheirdegreedifferfromthosenormallyfoundintheactualserviceenvironment.Itisincumbentupontheusertounderstandthatthisisanaggressive,acceleratedtestmethodandtobecarefulininterpretingtheresults.If,forexample,thereactionspecieshaveneverbeenfoundinarealworldfurnace,thenthistestmethodshouldnotnecessarilybeconsideredvalidtoevaluatetherefractoryinquestion.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforcomparingthebehaviorofrefractoriesincontactwithvaporsunderconditionsintendedtosimulatetheenvironmentwithinaglassmeltingorothertypeoffurnacewhenrefractoriesareexposedtovaporsfromrawbatch,moltenglass,fuel,fuelcontaminants,orothersources.Thisprocedureisintendedtoaccelerateserviceconditionsforthepurposeofdetermininginarelativelyshorttimetheintervalresistancetofluxing,bloating,shrinkage,expansion,mineralconversion,disintegration,orotherphysicalchangesthatmayoccur.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
