【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforuseinthelaboratoryorinthefieldforevaluatingthecleanlinessofdistillatefuels,andliquidbiofuels.Itisnotapplicabletoonorin-lineapplications.Thistestmethodoffersadvantageovertraditionalfiltrationmethodsinthatitisapreciserapidtest,andadvantageovervisualmethodsasitisnotsubjective.Anincreaseinparticlecountscanindicateachangeinthefuelconditioncausedbystorageortransferforexample.Highlevelsofparticlescancausefilterblockagesandhaveaseriousimpactonthelifeofpumps,injectors,pistonsandothermovingparts.Knowledgeofparticlesizeinrelationtothemetallurgycanprovidevitalinformationespeciallyifthehardnessofparticlesisalsoknownfromothersources.Thistestmethodspecifiesaminimumrequirementforreportingmeasurementsinparticlesizebands(seeA1.1.2).Somespecificapplicationsmayrequiremeasurementsinotherparticlesizebands.Obtainingarepresentativesampleandfollowingtherecommendedsampleandtestspecimenpreparationproceduresandtimescalesisparticularlyimportantwithparticlecountingmethods.(SeeSections8,10,14.1.4andNote10.)1.1Thistestmethodusesaspecificautomaticparticlecounter(APC)tocountandmeasurethesizeofdisperseddirtparticles,waterdropletsandotherparticles,inlightandmiddledistillatefuel,andbiofuelssuchasbiodieselandbiodieselblends,intheoverallrangefrom4x00B5;m(c)to100x00B5;m(c)andinthesizebandsx2265;4x00B5;m(c),x2265;6x00B5;m(c),andx2265;14x00B5;m(c).Note18212;ASTMspecificationfuelsfallingwithinthescopeofthistestmethodincludeSpecifications:D975grades1Dand2D,D3699,D4814(see14.1.1.1),D6751,D6985,D7467anddistillategradesofD396andD2880.Note28212;Forthepurposesofthistestmethod,waterdropletsarecountedasparticles,andagglomeratedparticlesaredetectedandcountedasasinglelargerparticle.Dirtincludesbiologicalparticles.Althoughtheprojectedareaofaparticleismeasured,thisisexpressedasthediameterofasphereforthepurposesofthistestmethod.Note38212;Thenotation(c),usedwithparticlesizes,isusedtodenotethattheapparatushasbeencalibratedinaccordancewithISO11171.Strictlythisonlyappliestoparticlesupto50x00B5;m.Note48212;Thistestmethodmaybeusedforparticlesizesbandsupto100x00B5;m(c),howevertheprecisionhasonlybeendeterminedforthesizebandsx2265;4x00B5;m(c),
