【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestwomethodsforthedeterminationofthemeltingpointinopencapillarytubes,commonlyknownastheslippoint,ofanimalandvegetablefatsandoils(referredtoasfatshereinafter).—MethodAisonlyapplicabletoanimalandvegetablefatswhicharesolidatambienttemperatureandwhichdonotexhibitpronouncedpolymorphism.—MethodBisapplicabletoallanimalandvegetablefatswhicharesolidatambienttemperature,andisthemethodtobeusedforfatswhosepolymorphicbehaviourisunknown.AmethodforthedeterminationofthemeltingpointofpalmoilsamplesisgiveninannexA.NOTE1Ifappliedtofatswithpronouncedpolymorphism,methodAwillgivedifferentandlesssatisfactoryresultsthanmethodB.NOTE2Fatswhichexhibitpronouncedpolymorphismareprincipallycocoabutterandfatscontainingappreciablequantitiesof2-unsaturated,1,3-saturatedtriacylglycerols.
