【摘要】:Gaschromatographywithsulfurselectivedetectionprovidesarapidmeanstoidentifyandquantifysulfurcompoundsinvariouspetroleumfeedsandproducts.Oftenthesematerialscontainvaryingamountsandtypesofsulfurcompounds.Manysulfurcompoundsareodorous,corrosivetoequipment,andinhibitordestroycatalystsemployedindownstreamprocessing.Theabilitytospeciatesulfurcompoundsinvariouspetroleumliquidsisusefulincontrollingsulfurcompoundsinfinishedproductsandisfrequentlymoreimportantthanknowledgeofthetotalsulfurcontentalone.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofvolatilesulfur-containingcompoundsinlightpetroleumliquids.Thistestmethodisapplicabletodistillates,gasolinemotorfuels(includingthosecontainingoxygenates)andotherpetroleumliquidswithafinalboilingpointofapproximately230176;C(450176;F)orloweratatmosphericpressure.Theapplicableconcentrationrangewillvarytosomeextentdependingonthenatureofthesampleandtheinstrumentationused;however,inmostcases,thetestmethodisapplicabletothedeterminationofindividualsulfurspeciesatlevelsof0.1to100mg/kg.1.2Thetestmethoddoesnotpurporttoidentifyallindividualsulfurcomponents.Detectorresponsetosulfurislinearandessentiallyequimolarforallsulfurcompoundswithinthescope(1.1)ofthistestmethod;thusbothunidentifiedandknownindividualcompoundsaredetermined.However,manysulfurcompounds,forexample,hydrogensulfideandmercaptans,arereactiveandtheirconcentrationinsamplesmaychangeduringsamplingandanalysis.Coincidently,thetotalsulfurcontentofsamplesisestimatedfromthesumoftheindividualcompoundsdetermined;however,thistestmethodisnotthepreferredmethodfordeterminationoftotalsulfur.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
